
Toran Shahidi currently serves as the Vice President of 3T’s Clubhouse, as well as the Director of High School Select Teams, and an instructor of hitting and catching.
In 2019, Shahidi was hired by North Dakota State University of the Summit League as the team’s catching coach and served as an assistant coach for the Bison during the 2019–2020 season. He did not return due to COVID-19 and instead brought his teaching expertise to 3T’s.
Shahidi spent his senior college season at St. Cloud State University, where he earned 2nd Team All-Conference honors as a catcher, batting .327 with 7 home runs and 48 RBIs. While at St. Cloud State, he also served as the team’s catching coach in a player/coach role.
In 2017, Shahidi played at the University of South Carolina Upstate, starting 41 of 51 games, batting .280, and leading the team with 11 doubles. He began his college career at Kirkwood Community College in 2015, starting as a catcher for the Eagles and batting .342. Shahidi redshirted in 2016 due to a shoulder injury but returned in 2017 as the team’s starting catcher.
Shahidi attended Ames High School, where he was a four-year starter, a four-time All-Conference selection, and was named team captain and Pride Award winner.
