
Kameryn Etherington attended Algona High School, where she was a five-year varsity letter winner, earning All-Conference and All-Area honors each year. In 2019 and 2020, she led her team to the State softball tournament and was selected to the All-State Class 3A Team both years. She also participated in USSSA on various teams and competed in volleyball, basketball, and state competitions for shot put and discus.
Etherington continued her softball career at Northwestern College, where she attained numerous accolades. She was named GPAC All-Conference all four years, received NAIA Scholar-Athlete Distinction three times, CSC Academic All-District Honor twice, and NFCA All-Region three times. She was also a two-time NFCA/NAIA Second Team All-American. In 2023, her team qualified for NAIA regionals, and in 2024, they hosted Regionals for the first time in NWC history.
Kameryn ended her career in 2024 and is listed in over 80 top ten program records at Northwestern College. Individually, she is in the top ten of five offensive records, finishing her career with a slugging percentage of .592 and 20 career home runs. Defensively, she is in the top ten of nine records, including career leader in strikeouts (610), wins (83), and appearances (155). She concluded her career with a 78.3% winning percentage and an ERA of 1.92 in 657.1 innings pitched.
